PPS, also known as polyphenylene sulfide, is a plastic mold synthesized by the condensation of dichlorobenzene and sodium nitrate.
Since the dyes are connected through sulfur atoms, PPS has the characteristics of a high-performance material, which means that PPS has excellent heat resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, mildew resistance, fatigue resistance, or high-temperature resistance. In addition, PPS has low hygroscopicity and outstanding dimensional stability.
PPS is used in connectors, housings, and pump bodies. In textile applications, PPS is used in protective clothing.
PPS distinguishes itself by the following properties: continuous service temperature up to 240°C, inherently flame retardant (UL94 V0), and very good chemical and oxidation resistance. Also, PPS has a very low water absorption as well as good hydrolysis and UV resistance
